About Anna

From a Carmelite convent to a kitchen-table workshop.

My story

There is a reason I have Carmelite in my handle. For six and a half years I lived my life as a Carmelite nun, tucked away in a monastery in York with twenty other like-minded women.

It was a challenging life, but one that led me deep into the Heart of Jesus and nurtured my faith in Him. Sadly, at the age of 25, before solemn profession, it became obvious I had to leave due to ill health.

This was one of the hardest times in my life, but even now, over thirty years later, I still have the Carmelite devotion deep in my heart.

Now I'm married with three adult children. Several years ago, after a difficult time when I felt my faith was drifting away, I started making rosaries. I still remember the elation I felt on that Sunday morning when I finished my first wire-wrapped bead, after hours of practice.

Then I got the rosary-making bug. I made rosaries for anyone who would have them, until it became impossible to fund it all.

I started selling them on Etsy, and then here on my own website. I still give rosaries away, so look out for my giveaway every First Friday on X, where you have the chance to win one! I've sent rosaries to the missions too, and I support an orphanage in Uganda. The sale of my rosaries helps me to continue this work.

I hope you enjoy browsing through my rosaries. If the one you love has sold out, just contact me...I can most likely make it again for you. I also love custom orders: you bring the intention, and I'll find the perfect beads to match it.

I'm also working on a book for anyone who'd love to learn the craft themselves. More on that when it's ready.

God bless
