2. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of rosariesbyanna.com and any purchases you make from us. By placing an order or using this website, you agree to these terms.
Please read them carefully before ordering. If you have any questions, contact us at anna@rosariesbyanna.com before placing your order.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your order will apply to your purchase.
3. Our products
Every rosary is handmade. This means:
- Each piece is unique, and natural materials (stones, wood, metal) may vary slightly in colour, grain, size, and finish.
- Product photographs are representative but the item you receive may differ subtly.
- Colours may appear differently depending on your screen.
- Measurements and weights are approximate.
Where a product is described as available from ready-made stock, we will dispatch the specific piece shown or one of equivalent style and quality. Where a product is made to order, we will craft it after your purchase.
Bespoke commissions are covered separately in Section 10.
4. Placing an order
When you place an order through the website:
- Your order is an offer to buy from us.
- You will receive an order confirmation email acknowledging receipt. This confirmation is not our acceptance of your offer.
- A binding contract is formed only when we dispatch your goods (for ready-made items) or when we confirm we have started work on your order (for made-to-order or bespoke items).
We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, including where a product is unavailable, where there has been a pricing or description error, or where we suspect fraudulent activity. If we decline your order, we will refund any payment taken in full.
5. Pricing and payment
Prices
- Prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and may be displayed in United States Dollars (USD) for visitors from the US.
- Prices include the cost of the item only. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
- We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added.
- We take reasonable care to ensure prices are accurate. If we discover a pricing error before dispatching your order, we will contact you and give you the option to reconfirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Payment methods
- All customers: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.
- UK customers only: Klarna (Pay in 3 or Pay Later, subject to Klarna's eligibility checks and their terms).
- Payments are processed securely by WooPayments (powered by Stripe), PayPal, and Klarna. We do not see or store your card details.
Payment is taken at the time of order, except where you choose a Klarna deferred payment option, which follows Klarna's terms.
6. Delivery
We ship worldwide.
Lead times
Because every rosary is handmade, dispatch times vary. The lead time for each product is either shown on the product page or communicated to you after your order is placed. If we cannot fulfil your order within a reasonable timeframe, we will contact you to agree a new timeline or offer a full refund.
Shipping estimates once dispatched (guideline only, not guaranteed):
- United Kingdom: 2–5 working days
- Europe: 5–10 working days
- United States, Canada, Australia: 7–14 working days
- Rest of world: 10–21 working days
We use Royal Mail and other trusted carriers depending on destination.
Customs, duties, and import taxes
For international orders (outside the UK), you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees charged by your country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict them in advance. We recommend checking with your local customs office before ordering.
Risk and ownership
Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered. Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full.
Undelivered or delayed items
If your order has not arrived within a reasonable time after dispatch (typically 14 days for UK, 30 days for international), contact us and we will investigate with the carrier.
7. Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have the right to cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Cancellation period
You may cancel within 14 days starting from the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods.
How to cancel
Email anna@rosariesbyanna.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You do not need to give a reason.
Returning the goods
You must return the goods to us within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel. Return postage is at your cost unless the goods are faulty or wrongly described. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot refund items lost in the post.
The goods must be returned in the same condition you received them, unused, and with any original packaging or tags where possible.
Refunds
Once we have received the returned goods (or proof of postage, whichever is earlier), we will refund you within 14 days. Refunds will be made to the original payment method. We will refund the price you paid for the goods and the standard delivery cost, but not any premium delivery upgrade.
Exceptions to the right to cancel
The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to bespoke commissions or any item made to your specific personal requirements. See Section 10.
8. Faulty or damaged goods
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full.
- If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, contact us within a reasonable time of discovering the fault.
- Within 30 days of receipt, you are entitled to a full refund.
- After 30 days, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund at our discretion.
If your item arrives damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos where possible, so we can raise the matter with the carrier.
Return postage for faulty items will be refunded.
9. Returns and exchanges (outside statutory rights)
We do not offer general exchanges or returns outside of the statutory cancellation and faulty goods rights described above. If you have concerns about a piece, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
10. Bespoke commissions
Bespoke commissions are rosaries made to your specific personal requirements — for example, chosen stones, custom lengths, particular medals, or dedications.
Process
- You get in touch to discuss what you would like.
- We agree the design, materials, timeline, and price in writing (usually by email).
- Full payment is taken before we begin work.
- We craft the piece and dispatch it once complete.
Cancellation
Because bespoke items are made to your personal specification, the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply once work has started. If you change your mind before we begin, contact us as soon as possible — we will refund your payment less any costs already incurred (for example, materials already ordered).
Faulty bespoke goods
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to bespoke commissions in the same way as to ready-made items. If your bespoke piece is faulty or not as agreed, contact us.
11. Intellectual property
All content on rosariesbyanna.com — including photographs, product descriptions, designs, logos, and written content — is the intellectual property of Rosaries by Anna and is protected by copyright.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
12. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under law. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Subject to the above:
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from your use of the website or purchase of our products.
- Our total liability to you in respect of any order will not exceed the total price paid for that order.
We take reasonable care to ensure the website works properly, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or free from errors. We are not liable for temporary unavailability of the website.
13. Data protection and privacy
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
By placing an order, you consent to us processing your personal data for the purposes of fulfilling your order, providing customer service, and meeting our legal obligations.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your order or your experience with us, please contact anna@rosariesbyanna.com in the first instance. We aim to respond within 5 working days and to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
If we cannot resolve your complaint, UK consumers have the right to refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider or the small claims court.
15. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these terms where the failure or delay is caused by events outside our reasonable control — for example, postal strikes, extreme weather, illness, or supply chain disruption. Where such an event occurs, we will contact you as soon as practical to discuss options.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in another country, you may also have the benefit of any mandatory protections available to you under the law of that country.
