Caring for your rosary.

A little attention keeps each piece beautiful for years to come. Find your rosary's materials below - every combination asks for slightly different care.

For Every Rosary

Keep away from perfumes, lotions, sanitisers, and direct sunlight.

Treat unknown stones as dyed, to safely protect their finish.

Wire-wrapped & stone beads

Dyed or undeyed

CLEANING

Wipe with a dry cloth. Never use water — moisture causes wood to swell, crack, or warp protective coatings.

METAL CARE

If beads look dry, buff gently with a tiny drop of mineral oil or beeswax. Keep oil off the metal wire.

STORAGE

Store in a dry area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Wire-wrapped & wooden beads

CLEANING

Wipe down with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid alcohol, hand sanitiser, and wet wipes.

CONDITIONING

Natural wax oils can condition the wood but you can lightly buff dry beads with wood wax.

STORAGE

Store in a dry area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Cord & stone beads

CLEANING

Spot-clean stones with a dry cloth. If the cord gets grimy, dab gently with a slightly damp, soapy cloth and air-dry completely.

CONDITIONING

Inspect cord knots periodically near the bead holes — heavy stone edges can fray cord over time.

STORAGE

Avoid submerging in water to keep wet cord from stretching or trapping moisture against the stones.

Cord & wooden beads

CLEANING

Wipe down with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid alcohol, hand sanitiser, and wet wipes.

MAINTENANCE

Natural wax oils can condition the wood but you can lightly buff dry beads with wood wax.

PROTECTION

Store in a dry area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
